The time it takes to settle an estate depends on getting all of the paperwork done quickly an efficiently. This is because any mistakes or omissions can force the probate judge to delay the proceedings up to two months at a time.

In addition to this, the proceedings can be delayed if the assets that need to be liquidated are not done so by a reliable company. This is because that all of the money goes to the probate court until the creditors are paid and the estate is settled.

Another sad problem is that some of the heirs can cause delays but interfering with the probate process. While they are heirs and have a right to know what is going on, they must be dealt with in the correct way. As trained people people, we will deal with them and explain the whole process with them. Then to, some of the heirs like the creditors will usually take a reduced amount of money due them if they can be paid now for their position.
